I'm pretty sure...

... that my blisters have blisters on them. The itch and burning is unbareable. I woke up at 6 this morning scratching my arm. I didn't realize you could scratch in your sleep. Apparently you can! and I do! It is torture. I could scratch my arm with a loofah. Or with sand paper. Or a rusty fork. Or even with a jagged can lid. Anything! THat is how bad the itch and burn and stinging is. Nuff said.

Today has been a good and very pleasant day though (despite the itching and burning and stining), thanks to both my mum and brother who went out of there way to make me happy. After seeing them only once for a few hours a few weeks ago (mum came to the hospital with my when I got PICC 1.0 and my brother earlier that week to take me out for dinner), I am over the moon to be home woth them. I think I was doing well on my own before al this medical stuff, but after things got rough, I really started to miss them more. Nothing like family (love and support) when you are ill. Irreplacable.

I should update this weekend, on both the PICC line thing in general/the weeks leading up to it, and the whole fiasco that happened over the past week or so with the PICC lone leaking, etc. All that fun stuff.

But now it is time for bed. I am wiped, but not because I am ill. Ok, a little bit because I am ill. But more so because I had a wonderful day with my family doing fun non medical related things like buying lego, antiques shopping, going to Canal Days in Port Colborne, eatng ice cream, and going to the Flying Saucer for breakfast at 9:30 at night! It all felt marvelous after a week full of dressing chanes, doctors appointments, emergency rome visits, worry, and disomfort. I am glad to go to sleep in my own bed under my own roof, near my own family. =)
