The bag of things and stuff

Over the past few months, I have been hoarding collecting things to keep me busy (and my brain from rotting and turning to mush) between surgeries four and five. Every time I saw a cute embroidery project, interesting magazine, or activity like puzzle books or Lego kits that I really like I bought it. My reasoning was that since I won't be very mobile between surgeries so probably won't be able to get out of the house to and literally run to the store for a minute to get something to keep me occupied, it would be smart to stock up on stuff before hand. The result: the bad of stuff and things to do. Well... it started off as one bag, which slowly filled up, then had smaller piles of stuff accumulating around it, before turning into two bags of stuff and things. Its ok though. Not hoarding. No. Collecting and preparing.

I wasn't until i had gathered everything together that I realized quite how much stuff there was. But I can justify it! At least four months is a long time to be stuck on the couch. And I won't be taking any courses for a while, so I need something to keep me busy. And on top of that, I can't binge watch anymore ER or Grey's Anatomy. Nursing school has ruined that for me. And to add to all that, I am sick. It is good to be kind to myself, even if that means hoarding collecting magazines.

Here is my loot. Lots of pictures. More to keep me busy than anything else. There is always a good week after exams end when you feel like you are forgetting some major assignment and feel guilty for not doing anything. And the tension for surgery is starting to build. Posting keeps my mind of things/keeps me preoccupied.

The Lego kit I have promising myself since the start of first semester in January. Will start on it the night before surgery.

I can has all the magazines!

This magazine is beautifully done. Touches something in you - magical and child like innocence

I have a subscription to this one =)

History nerd within me still comes out sometimes...

Minion! My project for next week.

I have always coloured, way before it became the next big cool thing to do. Only difference is that I stuck with children's colouring books or printing designs from the interwebs. Now I can buy beautifully colouring books for adults! I was very tempted to buy the Kaplan Colouring Anatomy Book, but decided against it. Maybe for Christmas.

Gotta keep those brain cells active, even if I can't physical get off the couch and excercise after surgery.

Crafting loot.

Will add the embroidery to my stash. Want to make the card for my birthday later this month.

Forty hobbit posters! There is one of Smeagol. If I ever have a house with a guest room, I will frame it and put it on the wall opposite the guest bed, or in the closest... give someone a nice scare or nightmare.

All the pretty little things!

Fabric to make more PICC line covers with. Also on my list to do next week before surgery.

Laughter is the best remedy. Also want to reread Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, So You Created a Wormjole, The Wobbit, Bored of the Rings, and Zeus Grants Stupid Wishes.

 All the loot together. Hoarded
The bags (pleural) of things and stuff to do. You can see the drawers of medical supplies top left. That is a topic for another post.
I feel pretty well prepared to stave off boredom. Let's hope it actually works, all this stuff... and that I feel well enough to get to it all XD
