Waiting

Waiting for my home nurse to come today. Only the cool kids have home nurses =P Hoping it's the good one that doesn't touch my pins with with the unsterile gauze. That one was a disaster.

On another note, my life if full of waiting. Waiting for appointmnets. Waiting for surgeries. Waiting for x-rays. Waiting, waiting, waiting. And waiting rooms. Let's not forget those - they make up a good chunk of the time where I actually do the waiting. If people are born with a set amount of patience that has to last a lifetime, I have surely run out several times over. Have you ever been so bored in a waiting room that you started couting the ceiling tile? I have... shy. At least there is always the receptionist who is forever stuck in the eighties. Her outfits are always worthy of a good chukle.

Chuckle. That's a very odd word to say. I wonder what it's origins are.

Update: I went to the online etymology dictionary (I'm such a nerd that I have it bookmarked). According to that site, the word originates around the 1590's from the Middle English word chukken which means "making a clucking noise". Noun - noisy laughter. I wonder how the l go in there.
