Long socks!

I ventured to the mall today on a quest to find thigh high socks. With the cast on, none of my tights or pantyhose fit. It's not much of a problem when I want to wear a skirt and it is warm out, but with the cooler weather coming it sure will be. Yes, I spend most of my time in side, and yes most of that time is spent in my pajama pants, but it is still nice to dress up occasionally. And that means not having cold legs!

Over the knee socks are the answer to that problem. I couldn't find thigh highs to save my life so I was thrilled to find knee highs. And I do mean thrilled. First, even knee high socks seem reidicouly hard to find. Second, once found, you have to hope they actually fit over your leg. This "one size fits all" thing is nonsense. I'm a pretty small gal, but god, you would have to be a stick to fit some of the socks out there...

Anyways, I was happy to find several pairs I liked and for a good deal too - 2 for 10$. So naturally I bought 4 pairs, which really means 8 socks since I only need them for the one leg. And I was super pleased when I tried them on at home and found that they all fit!

So over the knee socks are the highlight of my day. I am completely wiped out now, so I am going to relax and embroider for a while and maybe try to find something good to watch on Netflix. Pretty much just waiting for my appointment with my surgeon Friday morning. Excited to get a new cast and "wash" my leg with a soapy wash cloth before that cast is put on.

Socks! With pretty ribbons too! I have no clue what happened to me... Between the start of university five years ago (everything black, pants with chains, etc.) and now, I have changed a lot.

Speaking of change, here is a flashback to 2008 when I was recovering from surgery number two - hardware removal.
